CSR is our ABC
Covivio sets new standards in sustainability with LOFT by Covivio
Anyone who says that real estate is not sustainable is wrong. Or has not yet seen LOFT by Covivio. The redevelopment bundles gray energy and presents itself as a modern, reversible project that is designed for a recyclable and sustainable building ecosystem and offers every conceivable comfort. The proof: the DGNB Gold, WiredScore Gold and KfW Efficiency House 55 certifications for the new building.
Redevelopment
LOFT by Covivio is a pioneering building for ecological innovation: although the backyard development dates back to 1912, the existing concrete and steel building structure is 100% recycled. Only the elaborate roof extension is considered new construction. Historic and modern are united by a timeless architectural language.
Ressources
Resources are best used where they are available. Around 120 square meters of photovoltaic modules on the new roof construction provide around 20 megawatt hours of clean solar power per year. Heating and cooling are powered by district heating. There is also rainwater infiltration via retention and infiltration troughs, extensive green roofs and a biodiversity concept including vertical planting.
Features
Sustainable also means ensuring long-term use. This only works if today's planning anticipates the future - a corporate mission for Covivio. Flexibility, digitalization and comfort are a must. Open floor plans, inviting communal areas and the light-flooded architecture with industrial charm will capture the spirit of the times for many years to come. An automatic sun protection system, keyless access and e-mobility make LOFT a sustainable overall package.
